NERIWALM Consultant Agriculture Vacancy 2024
- Professionals having Master’s Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy/Soil Science/Soil Chemistry/Water Management with a minimum of 10 years of Post Qualification experience in the field of Water and land Management.
OR
- Retired Government servants with Level-12 or equivalent in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC and above having experience of 5 years in Water and Land Management with maximum age limit of 64 years, would also be eligible for the position.
OR
- For other professionals with requisite qualification & experience, the upper age limit at the time of application shall be 40-50 years depending on years of experience.
- The professional should have strong written and communication skills, and be well versed with the Power Point presentation and deliberation of lectures, working knowledge in Computers and common software packages, proficiency in compilation, editing and reviewing scientific reports.

NERIWALM Recruitment 2024 : Period Of Engagement
For this position,The appointment of Consultants would be on full-time basis and would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of hiring with NERIWALM. All extant provisions/instructions of NERIWALM etc., shall be strictly followed and hiring shall be temporary in nature.
- Refer: OM. No. 3-25/2020-E-IIILA dated 09.12.2020 of Ministry of Finance, D/O- Expenditure, Government of India.
- The initial engagement as Consultant would be for a period of 1 (one) year OR till filling up of the position by regular appointment OR attainment of 65 years of age (for consultants) whichever is earlier. Competent Authority may extend the term by another year on the same terms & conditions, in case the vacancies are not filled in the interim, which will be based on requirement of NERIWALM and upon performance of Consultant and health fitness of consultant concerned.

For this vacancy, In the case of retired Government officials, the remuneration shall be as per O.M. No. F.No.3-25/2020-E.111(A) dated 09th December, 2020 of Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure.
For others, remuneration may vary from Rs. 50,000/- to 1,00,000/- depending on experience as per OM No. A-12034/1/2015-Admn. dated 28.04.2022 of Government of India, Ministry of Jal Shakti, DoWR, RD & GR.
NERIWALM Tezpur Recruitment 2024: selection process
- Attendance And Office Hours: Consultants shall be required to mark their attendance on the Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System and will also be required to maintain their presence during normal office hours. In exigency of service, attending to office work may be required beyond office hours and on holidays, for which no additional remuneration shall be paid.
- After selection of suitable candidate(s) for appointment as Consultant, an offer letter will be issued to successful candidates indicating the terms and conditions of engagement.
- No Consultant shall be allowed to join without submitting an undertaking towards acceptance of the terms and conditions as mentioned in the offer letter.
- The candidates called for interview will be required to produce original certificates in support of fulfilling the eligibility criteria in respect of educational qualification, experience etc., during the interview and at the time of joining.
- No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for appearing in the interview.

NERIWALM Tezpur Vacancy 2024 : Allowance
- House Rent Allowance: No HRA shall be admissible.
- Transport Allowance : An appropriate and fixed amount as Transport Allowance for the purpose of commuting between residence and the place of work shall be allowed not exceeding the rate applicable to the appointee at the time of retirement. The amount so fixed shall remain unchanged during the term of appointment.
- No increment and Dearness Allowance shall be allowed during the term of contract.
- Selected Consultant shall submit the last pay certificate at time of joining.
NERIWALM Job 2024: Termination of engagement
For, NERIWALM reserves the right to cancel the appointment of consultant at any time, without providing any reason whatsoever. However, in the normal course, it will provide one month’s notice to the consultant. The consultant can also seek for termination of the contract upon giving one month’s notice to NERIWALM.
Assam NERIWALM 2024: Leave
For, Consultants shall be entitled to Casual Leave of 8(eight) days in a calendar year on Pro-rata basis. Absence beyond eight days will result in “Leave Without Pay (LWP)” i.e. deduction from the monthly consolidation remuneration on a pro-rata basis. Such an absence on LWP may be permitted by the Controlling Officer.

The North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management was established on 23rd December 1989 as a registered society under the aegis of North Eastern Council, Ministry of Home Affairs (now under Department of Development of North Eastern Region), Government of India.
On 1st April,2012 an MoU of transfer was signed between MoWR, RD and GR and NEC and presently NERIWALM is under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Govt. of India. It works towards generating local specific and problem oriented technologies through its different disciplinary divisions and caters the requirement of all the states of North Eastern Region namely, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Mehgalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
