RMRCNE Vacancy : Education Qualification

1. Project Research Scientist-I (Medical): Essential qualifications & Experience

• MBBS from a recognized University 

ICMR Vacancy : Desirable

• MD/first-class PG or integrated PG course from a recognized university.
• Knowledge of NTEP & latest guidelines in TB management
• Experience of working in community- based projects
• Knowledge of computer application and statistical packages
• Good communication skills and fluency in vernacular language

2. Project Research Scientist -1 (Non-Medical): Essential qualifications & Experience

• 1st Class Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology/Computer Sciences/ IT, including the integrated PG degrees.

Desirable : ICMR RMRCNE Vacancy

• Experience in conducting community-based health research
• Experience in coordinating community-based research activities
• Knowledge of computer applications and data analysis
• Experience in writing research manuscripts Proficiency in reading, speaking and in Regional language/local language
• Knowledge of NTEP & latest guidelines in TB management

3. Project technical support -1: Essential qualifications & Experience

About Regional Medical Research Centre NE Dibrugarh

ICMR- Regional Medical Research Centre, NE, Dibrugarh is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research. The Centre was established on 12th day of July in the year 1982. It covers the most remote and less developed eight states of the north-eastern region of India and is responsible for carrying out Biomedical Research in the region and runs with intramural grant from ICMR and extramural adhoc projects from different funding agencies.

Its current primary focus of research is on (i) Mosquito borne diseases (ii) HIV and drug abuse (iii) Trematode infection (iv) Haemoglobinopathies. The secondary focus of research of the centre is on (i) Cancer nasopharynx, oesophagus, stomach (ii) Cardiovascular diseases (iii) Medicinal plants of NE India (iv) Nutrition. Subsequently, keeping in view of the research needs of the eight states of N.E. region of India, the Centre has identified a few newer areas of research.
