SAIL Recruitment 2024 : Remuneration

For this position, Monthly Consolidated Remuneration shall be as under:

Posts	Monthly Consolidated Remuneration.
Consultant	Rs. 90,000/- p.m.

Above monthly remuneration shall be applicable for engagement for a minimum 8 hours a day for six days in a week or 48 hours in a week. However, if engagement is for less than 8 hours per day/48 hours in a week, the rates shall be prorated accordingly

SAIL India Recruitment 2024: Tenure of Engagement

For this Recruitment, Initial tenure of engagement of Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) would be for a period of one year as recommended by the assessment committee which can be further extended for a period of one year at the discretion of the company. The maximum period for engagement under the same would not be more than three years. However, there will be no bar on re-engagement. The tenure of engagement shall be subject to the upper age limit as specified in the Scheme i.e. not beyond 70 years.

SAIL Recruitment 2024: Selection process 

For this vacancy, Selection of the candidates for engagement will be done through “Walk-in Interview”. The Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) having relevant work experience shall be given preference and Ex-employee of SAIL and other PSUs/Government, can also apply, provided they have not been separated through Voluntary Retirement/ Voluntary Separation scheme.

SAIL Consultant Vacancy 2024 : 

• Post-paid SIM under CUG including monthly call charges, monthly rental & applicable taxes shall be provided with the monthly ceiling of Rs. 350/ p.m.
• In the case of ex-employees of SAIL, the medical benefits applicable / available for ex-employees will continue. In other cases, the medical benefits shall be available for self and spouse only at the respective SAIL Hospitals, without any referrals.
• The Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) engaged under the scheme will be eligible to get 10 days leave in a year subject to prior approval.

SAIL Recruitment 2024:  Other Conditions

• The candidate must be an Indian National possessing the requisite qualification.
• Doctors having MBBS qualification should be registered with Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC) or should have valid practitioner license and enrolled in the State Register or the National Register, as the case may be, are only eligible to be considered for engagement under the scheme
• Eligible and interested candidates may attend the “Walk-In interview” with the duly filled-in 3 sets of Application form along with the following certificates/documents in original along with self- attested 3 copies of the same. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted.

• Presidential Directives on reservation for SCs & STs in appointment in Public Enterprises would be followed as applicable. 
• No PF/Gratuity or any other benefit unless and until specified /indicated in the scheme shall be payable.
• Engagement of Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) under the scheme is purely of temporary nature and shall not create any right for regular appointment on any grounds, whatsoever. SAIL reserves the sole authority to consider the said engagement as per its scheme/rules, and decision of SAIL in this regard shall be firm and binding.
• The Consultants (Doctors in Medical Discipline) engaged under Scheme for engagement of Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) in SAIL will not be entitled to any benefits which are not specifically laid out in the said scheme.
• The Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) engaged under scheme shall be eligible for Maternity Leave as per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 subject to fulfilment of conditions stipulated in the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.
• Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) engaged under the scheme shall not be eligible for Non- Practicing Allowance. However, Private practice would be allowed subject to the condition that there shall be no disruption in the working hours assigned to the Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) engaged by SAIL. shall be liable to give
• The Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) so engaged under the scheme their services in emergent conditions also or as per requirement even beyond their normal assigned working hours. There shall be no claim for extra remuneration/benefit for such conditions/extra hours.
• The Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) shall be responsible for proper usage of all the assets provided by the Company pursuant to the engagement under the scheme. On expiry or termination of engagement, the Doctor shall immediately return all assets of the Company which were given by SAIL
• Income Tax/GST shall be dealt in terms of applicable provisions under the Income Tax/GST Act.
• SAIL reserves the right to reject any application, or cancel the candidature, or cancel the whole process of selection, or not engage the number of doctor as indicated in the advertisement, without assigning any reason thereof and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection.
• The decision of the SAIL management for this purpose shall be final and binding. 
• Candidature of an applicant is liable to be rejected at any stage of the selection process, or after selection, in case any information provided by the candidate is found to be false, or is found not to  be in conformity with requisite eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement. 
• Engagement can be terminated by giving one months’ notice by either of the parties. 
• Engagement can be terminated by SAIL forthwith under the following conditions/circumstances: If there is any evidence of the Consultant (Doctor in Medical Discipline) being medically unfit and which is likely to continue for a considerable period of time and cannot discharge normal duty. Decision of SAIL regarding fitness or otherwise shall be conclusive and binding on the Consultants (Doctor in Medical Discipline).
• In case of poor performance or in case of absence from duty without permission.
• In case of moral turpitude/ conviction by a Court of Law/insolvency / loss of license to practice/ grave misconduct/financial irregularity.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the “Walk-In interview” / Selection Process. 
• Joining of the candidate subject to Medical Fitness.
• Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be in Delhi.
