KGBV Notification 2024: KGBV, Dhubri, Assam has released an official notification for positions of Warden cum Superintendent,Head Teacher & Full Time Assistant Teacher & Part Time Assistant Teacher Post. According to the official notification of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Dhubri, Assam, there are only 44 vacancies available.
Applications are invited from eligible female candidates for the following posts for engagement in the KASTURBA GANDHI BALIKA VIDYALAYA (KGBV) Residential Schools for Girls in Dhubri district. The posts are temporary in nature and the selected candidates will be initially engaged for a period of 11 (eleven) months only.
The contractual engagement will neither be regularised under Samagra Shiksha, Axon or will be absorbed under any job/programme of Govt. of Assam in future and no candidate shall have any right (5) to claim for permanent absorption in any post(s) in the government or in the Samagra Shiksha, Assam. It is mandatory to reside in the School cum Hostel Campus all working days and during holidays except during the vacation when KGBV children will go home for vacation. In condition they will be allowed to leave the KGBV campus without prior approval of the higher authority.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Assam Recruitment 2024 : Jobs Terms and Conditions
- Relaxation of upper age limit will be applicable for SC, ST (P), ST (H), OBC & PII candidates for another 5 years as per Govt. of Assam Office Memorandum No. ABP 06/2016/04, dated 03-03-2016.
- During engagement of teachers first preference will be given to the candidates qualified in Higher Secondary TET. On Non availability of Higher Secondary TET qualified candidate, Non TET passed candidates will be selected but the selected candidate should qualify Higher Secondary TET within 3 (three) consecutive TET examinations.
- The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class-X Class-XII Examination
- Admit card/Pass certificate/ Marksheet issued by a recognized central/state Board/council where Age/Date of Birth (DoB) is clearly reflected.
- In the case of grading of marks, candidates need to produce the appropriate conversion process to produce the equivalent percentage of marks in the interview.
About Dhubri District
Assam starts with its south western boundary with the District Dhubri. The present Dhubri District is one of the three Civil Sub-divisions of erstwhile Goalpara district, established in 1876 during British regime. In 1879 the District headquarter was shifted from Goalpara to Dhubri.
In 1983 Goalpara district was divided into four separate districts and Dhubri is one of those. Covering an area of 2176 Sq. Kms, including forests, riverine, hills etc. The district has become the most densely populated district in India with a density of 896 persons per sq. Km. (As per 2011 census). In 2016, Dhubri was divided again to form South Salmara-Mankachar District.
About Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya(KGBV)
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Scheme was launched by the Government of India to make the education system more responsive to the needs of marginalised girls and to enhance their access and retention.
Under the scheme, residential schools for girls at upper primary to Sr. Secondary levels were set up in the Educationally Backward Block (EBB)s, towns and areas all over the country. The scheme provides education for girls in the age group of 10-18 years belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Minority communities and children of families of Below Poverty Line (BPL).
In Assam, KGBV scheme was introduced in the year 2007-2008. Since inception till the year 2022-23, altogether 81 nos. of KGBVs Type-II & III have been opened with a total coverage of 7688 Nos. of children in 80 EBBs and 1 town in 28 districts of Assam.
