CRPF General Duty Medical Officers Contract Period 2024
For this Recruitment, Appointment is purely on contract basis and the initial period of appointment of contract will be for three years which may be extended for further 02 years on year to year basis subject to the Maximum age of 70 years.
Central Reserve Police Force Vacancies 2024: Termination
For these Vacancies, On completion of tenure, the contract shall lapse automatically. However, the appointment can be terminated at any time (on either side) by giving one month’s notice or by paying one month’s salary without assigning any reason or failure to complete three months service to the satisfaction of the competent authority.

About Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is a Central Armed Police Force in India under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The CRPF’s primary role lies in assisting the States and Union Territories in police operations to maintain law and order and provide Internal security. It is composed of Central Reserve Police Force (Regular) and Central Reserve Police Force (Auxiliary).
The Central Reserve Police Force dates back to 1939 when it was initially established as the Crown Representative’s Police on July 27. Later, with the enactment of the CRPF Act on December 28, 1949, it transformed into the Central Reserve Police Force.
With a glorious history spanning 84 years, the force has grown into a substantial organization comprising 246 Battalions, which includes 208 Executive Battalions, 6 Mahila (Women) Battalions, 15 Rapid Action Force (RAF) Battalions, 10 Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (COBRA) Battalions, 5 Signal Battalions, 1 Special Duty Group, and 1 Parliament Duty Group. Additionally, there are 43 Group Centres, 20 Training Institutions, 3 Central Weapon Stores (CWS), 7 Ammunition Workshops (AWS), 2 Special Workshops (SWS), 1 Medical Workshop (MWS), 4 Composite Hospitals with 100 beds, and 17 Composite Hospitals with 50 beds, showcasing its evolution into a comprehensive and multifaceted entity.
