AAI Junior Assistant  Careers Vacancy : Education Qualification

TO apply for Airport Authority of India Junior Assistant Vacancy Candidates need to pass 10th + 3 years approved regular Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Fire OR 12th Pass (Regular Study). 

AAI Careers Job Vacancy 2025 : Required Driving License

  • Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License; 

OR 

  • Valid Medium Vehicle License issued at least one year before the date of advertisement i.e.01/11/2024. 

OR 

  • Valid Light Motor Vehicle License (LMV) issued at least two years before the date of advertisement i.e. 01/11/2024. 

Note: In case of (b) & (c) above, the incumbents will be required to acquire Heavy Duty Driving License within one year of appointment before completion of their probation period. In case, if they fail to acquire/obtain the Heavy-Duty Driving License their probation period will be extended for one more year in order to obtain Heavy Duty Driving License, till such time they will not be confirmed and their increments will also be withheld. Moreover, no further extension will be granted beyond two years and their services will stand terminated. Temporary / Learning License will not be accepted.

Stage 2: Documents verification

On passing the online Computer Based Test (CBT), shortlisted candidates shall be subject to certificates/Documents verification followed by Medical Examination (Physical Measurement Test). Those cleared in medical examination shall be allowed for driving test (in Light Motor Vehicle) subject to possessing Valid Light Motor Vehicle/Medium Motor Vehicle/Heavy Motor Vehicle license in original. Only on passing the driving test, the candidate will be allowed for Physical Endurance Tests (PET). 

Ex-Agniveers will be given exemption only from Physical Endurance Test. However, they must be suitable from all other relevant perspective including but not limited to age, educational qualification, written test, medical tests/examination, physical measurement standards (height, weight, medical standards etc.), driving requirements, 16 weeks of basic training, at par with other candidates, as applicable to the post.

AAI AE Vacancy 2025 : Guidelines For Filling Online Application

  1. Candidates on their own interest are advised to apply and submit application promptly and not to wait till the last date/time for applying online. AAI, ER shall not be responsible if candidates are not able to submit their applications on account of last-minute rush. 
  2.  Please retain print out of application form & payment acknowledgement slip for future references. 
  3. Please do not send hard copy of the application form or any documents to the office of AAI, Eastern Region.

AAI Career: General Instructions

  1. Only candidates who are domicile of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Sikkim States can apply for the above posts.
  2. Before applying for the post, the candidates should ensure that he/she meets the eligibility and other criteria as mentioned in the advertisement. He/she may cross-check the information furnished in the application form before finally submitting the same as no correction would be possible later.
  3. Furnishing of wrong/false information will lead to disqualification and AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA will not be responsible for any consequence of furnishing such wrong/false information.
  4. The eligibility with respect to age, educational qualification will be determined as on 01/11/2024.
  5. The date of declaration of result/issuance of marks sheet shall be deemed to be the date of acquiring the qualification and there shall be no relaxation on this account.
  6. Wherever CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the candidate will have to produce a document indicating equivalent percentage of marks as per norms adopted by the Board/University/Institute at the time of document verification.
  7. Appointment to the above-mentioned post is subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria and successfully passing all modules of the Basic Training Course for Junior Assistant (Fire Service).
  8. Candidates employed in Govt. Departments/PSUs/Autonomous bodies must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of verification of documents. In case, the candidate fails to produce the NOC, his/her candidature will not be considered. Other claims/disclaimers such as undertaking to resign in the event of selection, acknowledgment copy of applied NOC/Resignation Letter, Experience Certificate, etc., shall not be entertained as a substitute for NOC.
  9. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC will have to produce his/her original caste certificate from the Competent Authority, along with a self-attested copy of the same, at the time of verification of documents, failing which his/her candidature shall be canceled, and he/she will not be considered for further selection process.
  10. EWS Certificate: Candidates applying against vacancies reserved for EWS category should note that they have to submit the EWS certificate (Income & Asset Certificate) valid for FY 2023-24 in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority to prove that they belong to the EWS category at the time of document verification.
  11. The OBC Candidates availing reservation will have to produce a valid original OBC CERTIFICATE with “NON CREAMY LAYER STATUS” (LATEST) in the prescribed format issued by the Government of India during FY 2023-24, along with a self-attested copy of the same at the time of document verification. Failing which, his/her candidature shall be canceled, and he/she will not be considered for further selection. A declaration shall also be submitted by the candidate before his/her appointment that he/she does not belong to the Creamy Layer of OBC. OBC (NCL) Certificate for admission to educational purposes will not be considered.
  12. The candidates have to appear for the computer-based/online examination and other selection processes at their own expenses.
  13. The education and other qualifications must be obtained from the Government or Recognized Institutions/Universities as per statutes.
  1. In case of Ex-Servicemen, the candidate should upload a scanned copy of the Discharge Certificate.
  2. In case of Ex-Agniveers, the candidate who has successfully completed four years of engagement with the Armed Forces should upload a scanned copy of the Ex-Agniveer Certificate issued by the Armed Forces.
  3. Centers for the Computer-Based Test will be held in Eastern States (Kolkata/Bhubaneswar/Patna/Raipur/Ranchi/Port Blair/Gangtok) tentatively. In case the number of examination centers is not available in the selected cities, nearby towns/cities may also be considered for examination.
  4. The SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/Experience certificate issued by the Competent Authority should be either in Hindi or English. Any variation in the caste name will not be accepted.
  5. Documents other than in Hindi or English must be accompanied by a transcript of the same duly attested by a gazetted officer or Notary Public.
  6. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the computer-based/online test.
  7. Mere fulfilling of minimum qualification and job requirement will not vest any right on candidates for being called for CBT/Online exam. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
  8. In the event of same marks scored by candidates in the CBT, the candidates senior in age will be ranked higher. If the date of birth is also the same, then the candidate who scored higher marks in Part A (Subject-related questions) will be ranked higher.
  9. Candidature of the registered candidates is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process or after recruitment or joining if any information provided by the candidate is found false or is not in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
  10. The decision of AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced, and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidates.
  11. AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA reserves the right to fix the standard and specifications for screening and calling the number of candidates for the computer-based online exam and other selection processes.
  12. AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA reserves the right to change the Examination Centre based on any other norms decided at a later date.
  13. The Admit cards for the online test and call letters to be issued to the candidates are purely provisional. However, in case any ineligible candidate has been issued an admit card and has appeared in the online examination/test etc., or allowed to join AAI, his/her candidature will automatically be treated as canceled at any stage of the recruitment/service in AAI on grounds of his/her ineligibility.
  14. AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA reserves the right to increase or decrease the vacancies depending upon the future requirements. AAI reserves the right to modify/alter/restrict/enlarge/cancel the recruitment process if the need arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason whatsoever. The decision of the AAI Management shall be final, and no appeal will be entertained in this regard.
  15. Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
  16. Canvassing in any manner and bringing outside influence shall make the candidature liable for rejection.
  17. The decision of the selection committee is not liable for challenge and the same shall stand final and binding on each candidate.
  18. AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA will have full discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks and other eligibility criteria.
  19. During document verification, the candidate will have to produce Original certificates along with proof of identity and one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates. If the identity of the candidate is in doubt or he/she is not able to produce the requisite documents or there is a mismatch of information in the documents, his/her candidature will be rejected. No additional time will be given for producing original documents.

Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Kolkata, and Courts/Tribunals/Forums at Kolkata only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/dispute. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Kolkata.
  23. In case of any dispute, the English version of the advertisement published on the AAI website will be treated as valid.
  24. Candidates are advised not to respond to unscrupulous advertisements appearing in any newspaper/website/mobile apps etc. For authenticity of any information, candidates may visit the detailed advertisement available on the AAI website www.aai.aero only.
  25. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
  26. Selection of candidates shall be provisional, subject to verification of documents relating to eligibility criteria, qualification, character and antecedents/background check, community certificate/other backward classes (non-creamy layer) certificate/EWS certificate/experience certificate, and other documents submitted by the candidate, and is also subject to his/her meeting the requisite medical standards for the post and other requirements applicable for appointments under the rules of AAI.
  27. AAI Departmental candidates possessing recognized Degrees/Certificates as per required minimum qualifications, obtained through part-time/correspondence/distance education mode shall be eligible to apply.
  28. Candidates are advised to apply online much before the closing date of application mentioned in this advertisement and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on to the AAI’s website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam/disconnection.
