Established on 17th July, 1967, Amguri College remains the premier institute of higher education, imparting knowledge to the entire locality of Amguri and its nearby area. The college is brought under the deficit system of Grant-in-Aid in 1977 and is affiliated to the Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh. The college is recognized by University Grants Commission Act, 1950.
