Assam Skill University (ASU), Mangaldai is first Government Skill University of Assam established by the Government of Assam under the Assam Skill University Act, 2020, which is functioning from its interim campus at ITI Birubari Guwahati and will be shifting to its main campus, Mangaldai in May 2025.
Assam Skill University is on a mission to transform the skill education ecosystem across the North-Eastern Region (NER). It was envisioned to bring industry-relevant skill courses, champion in technology adoption, and create job opportunities for the youth in an equity and inclusive learning environment.
Applications for appointment into various teaching positions are invited for the following posts from eligible candidates of Indian nationality, who are keen to pursue a career at Assam Skill University (https://asu.ac.in) and intend to add value in shaping the career of youths. About Assam Skill University
The Assam Skill University is being setup under External Aid Project (EAP) funded by Asian Development Bank. The Department of Economics Affairs, GoI has approved the financial assistance of $112 Million to ADB on 14th November 2019. The value of Project will be $140 Million (approx. Rs. 1,000 Cr) including the state share of 20%.
Assam Skill University Act-2020 has already been passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly in September 2020 and the university has started its initial activities from guwahati office situated at DECT, Rehabari, Guwahati. The state government has already allotted 250 bighas land in Mangaldai ( Darrang District ) for the Skill University, located about 74 kilometers east of Guwahati, and falling within 25 kilometers of National Highway 27 connecting Guwahati with other major cities in Assam.
