DC Office Chirang: Education Qualification & Work experience
1. DC Office Chirang : District Project Manager (DPM)
- Graduate in any discipline with working knowledge of computer
- Minimum 2 (two) years of experience of working in the IT field and having knowledge of computer systems
2. DC Office Chirang : District Technical Support Staff (DTSS)
- 10+2 passed with diploma in IT
- Minimum 1 (one) year of experience of working in IT field
Deputy Commissioner Office Chirang Vacancy : Age Criteria
- The maximum age for applying for the post of DPM & DTSS shall be 41 years as on 1st January, 2023
- This age limit shall be relaxed for the applicant who has been serving for similar position under DeGS or any other District Administration, by numbers of years served upto a maximum of 8 years

- District Project Manager (DPM): Rs. 22,000/- per month
- District Technical Support Staff (DTSS): Rs. Rs. 14,000/- per month

Chirang Jobs : Duration of Assignment
- The initial contract of DPM & DTSS shall be for 11(eleven) months. The duration of contract may be extended for next term based on satisfactory performance & good conduct to be evaluated by a performance appraisal on 10th of every on-going contract period.
- The position of the DPM and DTSS shall be purely contractual and the incumbent would not have any claim to permanent retention under the DeGS he/she is currently serving or any other DeGS in the state or to any claim for permanent absorption in the District Administration or to any organizations under the IT department.
DC Office Chirang Recruitment : Selection Process
- A two-tier selection procedure shall be adopted for recruitment to the position of DPM and DTSS by the DeGS, Chirang.
- A written exam consisting of 50 marks will be conducted by DeGS followed by a personal interview for both DPM and DTSS post separately.
- The personal interview shall be of a total of 50 Marks and the final selection of the candidate shall be done based on the summation of the marks obtained in the written exam and the personal interview (out of 100).
- For the candidates who has been serving in similar position under DeGS or any District Administration across the state, 2 (two) marks shall be awarded for each year service offered upto maximum 16 marks in the personal interview.
DC Office Chirang Careers : Work Location
- The primary work location for DPM shall be Office of the District Commissioner, Chirang and the incumbent may be required to provide services across the district as required by the DeGS Chirang.
- The DTSS shall be required to provide technical support at Sub-Division Offices and Revenue Circle Offices or as required by DeGS, Chirang

About Chirang District
The district started functioning with effect from 4th june, 2004 with its headquarter at Kajalgaon. This district has one civil sub-division with its headquarter at Bijni and one sadar sub-division with its headquarter at Kajalgaon. The Chirang district possesses a plain topography, It also has undulating areas and the northern parts of the district lie on the foothills of Bhutan that has slightly higher elevation, which is decreasing towards the southern parts of the district.
The four types of soil found here are entisols, inceptisols, alfisols and ultisols. The district comes under lower Brahmaputra valley agro-climatic zone. The climate is subtropical in nature with warm and humid summers followed by dry and cool winters. The pre and post-monsoon months are unpredictable and experience erratic rainfall. Champamati, Ale and Manas rivers flow through the district and join the Brahmaputra river. Many other tributaries, small rivulets and streams flow through this district.
The word “Chirang” has been derived from the garo word -“chi” means water and “rang” means wealth. Chirang district is one of the four districts of Bodoland territorial area district (btad) under the government. Of Assam, created vide notification no. Gag (b). 137/ 2002/ pt/ 117 dtd. 30/10/2003 within assam under clause 6 of article 332 by the 90th amendment act, 2003 of the constitution of india under the provision of the sixth schedule. The district has been functioning with effect from 04th june, 2004. It was carved out of the districts of kokrajhar, bongaigaon and barpeta. Kajalgaon is the district headquarter.
