KKHSOU Guwahati Vacancy : Education Qualification

1. KKHSOU Careers : Controller of Examinations

• A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years’ service. in Academic level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration.

OR 

• Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.

OR

• 15 (fifteen) years of administrative experience, of which 8(eight) years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
• Experience in conducting Public Examinations in any University.

 Desirable Qualification

• A Ph.D Degree from a recognized University.
• Experience in conducting Public Examinations in any University. (Open University experience will be given additional weightage).
• A degree/diploma Education. in Distance.
• Experience of working in Open University/Distance Education System.
• Working knowledge of computers.

2. KKHSOU Careers 2024 : Deputy Registrar (Academic) 

• A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 10 and above with experience in educational administration.

•  Comparable experience in research. establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.

•  5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent post.

Desirable Qualification

• A Ph.D Degree from recognized University.
• A degree/diploma in Distance Education.

3.  KKHSOU Jobs : Assistant Librarian

• A Master’s Degree in Library Science Information Science / Documentation or an equivalent professional Degree with atleast 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with consistently good academic record.
• Qualified in the NET conducted for the purpose by the UGC or by any other agency approved by the UGC.

Desirable Qualification

• A degree/diploma in Distance Education.
• Experience of working in Open University/Distance Education System.
• Working knowledge of computer.

4. KKHSOU Job 2024 : Professor in Information Technology

• An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC- listed journals and a total score of 120 as per the criteria given in Annexure I.
• A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

OR

• An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above)/industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied / allied/ relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/ she has ten years’ experience.

Desirable Qualification

• A degree/Diploma in distance education or working experience in distance education Institution.
• Adequate knowledge of Computer.
•  Proficiency in both Assamese and English Languages.

5. Guwahati Careers : Associate Professor in Philosophy

• A good academic record, with a Ph.D Degree in Philospohy.
•  Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed).
•  A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ Industry with a minimum of seven publications in the Peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and the total research score of Seventy Five (75) as per the criteria given in Annexure 1.

Desirable Qualification

• A degree/Diploma in distance education or working experience in distance education Institution.
•  Adequate knowledge of Computer.
• Proficiency in both Assamese and English Languages.

About Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University(KKHSOU)

Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU), the sole State Open University in North East India, was founded under the KKHSOU Act, 2005, passed by the Government of Assam and published in the Assam Gazette (extraordinary) on 29/09/2005.

The university received recognition from the former Distance Education Council (DEC), (now Distance Education Bureau, UGC), New Delhi through letter no. DEC/Misc/07/5957 dated 03/10/2007.

The University Grants Commission, in a letter dated 18/03/2009 with reference no. F.9-13/2008(CPP-I), empowered the university to confer Degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. Established as the 14th Open University in India, alongside IGNOU, the University’s Headquarters is situated at Patgaon, Rani, Guwahati.
