National Institute of Mental Health rehabilitation (NIMHR), Sehore, an autonomous Institute of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social justice and Empowerment, Government of India intends to engage the services of young and energetic candidates in various disciplines as detailed below on contract basis for a period of 01 year (extendable yearly maximum upto 3 years, on the basis on the basis of performance and requirement).

NIMHR Job : Other Terms and Conditions for Contractual Employment
- A fixed monthly amount shall be admissible and the remuneration may be regulated as per the terms and conditions of the contract. No other allowances will be admissible.
- Paid leave of absence may be allowed @ 1.5 days for each completed month of service.
- The term of appointment shall ordinarily be for an initial period of 1 year (extendable yearly maximum up to 3 years, on the basis of performance and requirement).
- The contractual appointment would be on a full-time basis and they would not be permitted to take up any other commercial assignment/private practice during the period of consultancy.
- The validity of the contract is subject to verification of character and antecedents of the candidate being found fit for the employment.
- The engagement of contractual staff can be terminated by the competent authority at any time without assigning any reasons thereof by giving 30 days’ notice. However, in case a Consultant/contractual staff wishes to resign, he can resign by giving 30 days’ advance notice or remuneration in lieu thereof before resigning from the engagement.
About National Institute of Mental Health Rehabilitation (NIMHR)
This is a Central Autonomous Institute under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. It is registered as Society under the MP Societies Registration Act, 1973. It is a National Institute working in the area of mental health rehabilitation.
The Institute is managed by the Governing Council chaired by Dr. Tej Bahadur Singh, Professor and Head, Centre for Psychological Sciences and Dean, School of Human Sciences, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya. The Institute conducts its routine activities under the Executive Council headed by Director.
The broad objectives are to:
- To promote mental health rehabilitation using integrated multidisciplinary approach.
- To promote and undertake capacity building and to involve in developing trained professionals in the area of mental health rehabilitation.
- To engage in research and development and policy framing towards promoting mental health rehabilitation services.
