RRC SECR Apprentice Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteria

RRC Vacancy : Education Qualification

Railway Vacancy Minimum Qualification:

• Matriculation passed or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
• National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training /State Council for Vocational Training. The candidate must fill their 10th & ITI marks on the portal in the qualification section; otherwise their application will be automatically rejected. Do not fill any other higher qualification.

RRC SECR Apprentice Vacancy 2025: Age Relaxation

For, Upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is 5 years, for OBC candidates 3 years and for Divyang (PWBD) & Ex-Servicemen candidates 10 years).

• For, Upper age limit is relaxable by up to additional 10 years for ex-servicemen to the extent of service rendered in Defence Forces plus 3 years provided have put in a minimum of 6 months service at stretch, except Ex-servicemen who have already joined the Govt. service on the Civil side after availing the servicemen status for the purpose of their engagement. However, regardless of community, Ex-servicemen will be considered against the Ex-servicemen quota, if available. If UR vacancies are not available then only Ex-Serviceman belonging to those particular communities where vacancies are available will be considered against the Ex-Servicemen quota.

RRC SECR Apprentice Recruitment 2025: TRAINING & STIPEND

For, The training will be regulated according to standards/syllabus issued by Central Apprenticeship Council. The candidates undergoing training will be eligible for stipend as per prescribed rates. Stipend Rate Rs. 8050/- for 2 years ITI course & Rs. 7700/– for 1 year ITI course.

And The duration of the training period will be 1 (one) year only.

South East Central Railway Recruitment 2025: Selection Process

1. For, Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) plus ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done.
2. For the purpose of calculation of percentage of marks of SSC of candidates from Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh, Board of Public Examination, Kerala etc. Nagpur division of SECR will take the midpoint of the range of grades obtained by the candidates. After obtaining midpoints of all the attempted subjects according to grades awarded, average will be calculated treating each subject as out of 100 marks, as there is no standard method or multiplying factor for calculation of average of matriculation for such Boards.
3. In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also the same, then the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.
4. The shortlisted candidates would be subject to verification of all original testimonials and being found fit in appropriate Medical examination by Railways as applicable for the Workshop and for the other Units of division.
5. A registration number will be issued to each applicant during online application submission. Candidates are advised to save/note down their registration number for the next stage of recruitment process/correspondence.

Railway Recruitment 2025 : General Instructions

• Applications must be submitted online only on the web address https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
• Candidate ITI marks and 10th Marks filled carefully when applying the application on NAPS portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in), if in downloaded excel file ITI marks and 10″ marks not show the candidate will be rejected.
• Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria. If erroneously engaged, such candidates shall be immediately dismissed without notice at any stage.
• Candidature of the candidate shall be cancelled if he/she fails to produce the required original testimonials for verification or any other discrepancy noticed.
• If it is noticed by the Railway administration that the candidate has furnished Wrong/fake Certificates/false certificates, the Railway administration reserves the right to discharge the candidate/selected candidate at any stage without any notice, even after his/her selection to undergo training. Further they may be liable for penal.
• The Railway administrations do not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to the candidates not selected or not called for. No correspondence in respect of the application submitted shall be entertained or replied by this office to any individual or organization.
• The Engineering Graduate & Diploma Holder is not eligible to apply for apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by a separate scheme of Apprenticeship.
• No daily allowance/conveyance allowance or travelling allowance will be paid to the candidates called for document verification.
• After selection for engagement, request of candidate to change the division/ unit will not be entertained.
• No accommodation will be provided by Railway for apprentices. They will have to make their own arrangements.
• While utmost care will be taken for finalizing the final list of eligible candidates, in case of any oversight the administration has the right to make changes at any level and decision of administration will be final and binding..
• As per PCPO/SECR’s letter No. P-HQ/RUL/101/10(E-50910) Dt. 13/02/2024 in para (5), “for UR post/quota, any candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR is selected as per merit, accordingly SC/ST/OBC/UR whosoever is available as per merit may be engaged against vacant EWS reserved post/quota”.
• If the option of EWS/Ex-Servicemen is not available on the portal, then apply on the portal from your actual category (Eg.-UR, OBC, SC, ST) and sent/submit the EWS/Ex-Servicemen certificate physically to this o’fice.
• Age relaxation is subject to submission of latest caste certificate (in central format) For (OBC) candidates only.
• Age relaxation is subject to submission of caste certificate (in central format) For (SC/ST) candidates only.
• The candidates who had earlier done apprenticeship in any organization should not apply again for apprenticeship. If any such candidates found his candidature will not be entertained.
