Grade-III of Assam Judicial Service Job in High court 2025 : Eligibility Criteria
For this Vacancy, candidates Must be holder of a Degree in Law granted by a recognized University established by law in India.

Guwahati High court Grade-III of Assam Judicial Service Recruitment 2025: Age Limit
For this vacancy, candidates must not have completed, as of the last date fixed for receipt of applications, 43 years of age for Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates and 38 years of age for all other candidates.

The selected candidates will receive a pay scale of Rs. 77,840 – 1,36,520 per month, along with other allowances as per the applicable rules.
Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2025: Selection Procedure
The selection process is three step:
- Preliminary Examination (Screening Test)
- Main Written Examination
- Viva Voce/Interview
1. Preliminary Examination
- Candidates must score 60% or more to qualify for the Main Exam.
- Candidates will be selected for the Main Exam in a 1:10 ratio (10 candidates for each post).
2. Main Written Examination
- To qualify for the Viva Voce (Interview), candidates must:
- Score at least 60% aggregate marks in the Main Exam.
- Secure at least 45% marks in individual Papers I, II, III & IV.
- Score a minimum of 35% marks in the Official Language Paper (Paper V).
- SC/ST candidates need:
- 50% aggregate marks in the Main Exam.
- 40% marks in individual Papers I, II, III & IV.
- 35% marks in the Language Paper (Paper V).
- Language Paper marks are for qualification only and will not be counted in the final selection.
3. Viva Voce/Interview
- Candidates will be called in a 1:3 ratio (3 candidates per post).
- The interview carries 50 marks.
- Candidates must score at least 60% in the interview to qualify.
Final Selection
- The final merit list will be prepared based on overall performance and suitability.

The Gauhati High Court as of today emerged from the High Court of Assam. On 9th September 1947, the Assam Legislative Assembly adopted a resolution that a High Court be established for the Province of Assam. In exercise of power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 229 of the Government of India Act, 1935, as adopted by the Indian Provincial Constitution (Amendment) Order, 1948, the Governor General of India was pleased to promulgate on 1st March, 1948 the Assam High Court Order, 1948, establishing the High Court of Assam with effect from 5th April, 1948, for the then Province of Assam.
