1. For The candidate should have a PhD degree and a minimum of 10 years of post-PhD experience.
2. For The candidate should be an Indian national working as a Full Professor or Associate Professor in a leading academic institution in India or abroad or holding a scientific position of equivalent level and seniority in a reputed non-academic organization in India or abroad.
3. For The candidate should have a distinguished record of research and publication, or professional experience in Theoretical/Applied Statistics and related areas, and should have maintained the highest professional standards throughout his/her career.

For this Career 2025, The tenure of the RBI Chair Professor will normally be for Three Years. Continuation of the RBI Chair Professor beyond the minimum period of tenure will be guided by the MoU with the Reserve Bank of India. 

ISI Recruitment 2025: RBI Chair Professor Package and benefits

For this vacancy, the salary is ₹5,50,000 (Rupees Five lakh Fifty thousand only) (annual)

• Salary: Professor Pay Level in the Institute
• Allowances: As per the norms of the Institute as applicable to a Professor.
• An annual contingency grant of ₹5,50,000 (Rupees Five lakh Fifty thousand only) will be available for travel, research support, participation in national/international conferences etc. 
• Supporting Staff: At most two as per MoU with Reserve Bank of India.
• Accommodation: In campus housing may be provided based on availability and as per rule.
• The Institute will also provide necessary infrastructural support as per requirement and as per availability

ISI Recruitment 2025: RBI Chair Professor job Responsibilities 2025

For this Requirement 2025, Chair Professor is expected to undertake research in Theoretical/Applied Statistics and related areas. 

RBI Chair Professor may be required to provide inputs on sector-specific topics as suggested by the Reserve Bank from time to time. 

The Institute may request the RBI Chair Professor to teach relevant courses of interest in the academic programmes of the Institute.

 The teaching load will be at par with the usual teaching load of a regular faculty at a similar level in the Institute. 

It is also expected that the Chair Professor will participate in guiding projects and theses of graduate and post-graduate students of the institute and proactively engage in usual activities of the Institute.
